Note: The National Advisory Council for children's mental health and emotional wellbeing came to an end in March 2011. Please contact the DfE public communcation unit if you have any enquires.

The National Advisory Council for children's mental health and emotional wellbeing (NAC) is an independent body that was set up to run for two years following the publication of the 2009 National CAMHS Review. With the changes in Government and their current focus on policy development, the role of the NAC was changed to provide advice and act as a sounding board for officials and Ministers in the development of new policies, rather than to focus on progress in delivering the individual recommendations of the 2009 CAMHS Review. Details of the changes can be found here.

The NAC's final report to Ministers can be found here.
